Counting Our Blessings This Thanksgiving

Whether it’s enjoying laughter with family, watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, or engaging in heated debates about the ideal stuffing recipe, Thanksgiving is a joyful reminder that there’s always something to be grateful for.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without our annual tradition of naming the Top 10 things for which we’re grateful in 2023.

  1. Family. Our CEO Mia Allen always cherishes family time, but this year is especially bittersweet because it is the last year of high school for her oldest daughter. Before she goes off to college, mom is soaking in (and grateful for) every last minute.
  2. Workplace. This company wouldn’t be what it is today without our dedicated and loyal employees. What’s even more remarkable is that we all enjoy each other’s company off the clock, too. Our camaraderie helps us deliver better results in every aspect of our business.
  3. Clients. Earlier this year Rose Pallet was honored by one of our clients with a Supplier Diversity Award. We truly appreciate working with companies that clearly support supplier diversity and promote the hard work of small and minority-owned businesses across America.
  4. Networking. Our co-owners are grateful to be active in women advisory groups including the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. Through these associations, Mia and Amy can share business expertise and learn from fellow women business leaders.
  5. Recognition. And, speaking of networking, it’s a great feeling to be recognized by your peers. This year, our company was twice honored among the 50 Fastest-Growing Women-Owned Businesses by the Women Presidents Organization and Crain’s Chicago. In addition, our CFO and operations director were featured on air during an interview with WGN Radio. Read the transcript here.
  6. Delivery. Of course, we appreciate DoorDash and Instacart, but we’re also thankful for and proud of our on-time delivery record of 97%.
  7. Buy-Back Program. We all know that wood pallets can be recycled. But did you know you can turn old pallets into cash? We’re thankful we can help grow your pallet sales income. With our buy-back program, we’ll count, grade, and pick up your pallets. It’s that easy!
  8. The NWPCA. The National Wooden Pallet & Container Association provides invaluable resources, education, and networking opportunities to wood packaging professionals like us.
  9. The Pallet Design System™ (PDS).  As a registered PDS user, we are thankful for software that helps us design pallets to meet our clients’ unique criteria and specifications.
  10. Giving.  Rose Pallet is grateful to support a variety of philanthropic efforts throughout the year that provide aid to our surrounding community.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone…Thank you for your business!
