Upcycled Gift Ideas for Dad Who Has Everything
From coaching us to correcting us, dads are full of great advice and instruction. That’s why, in just four days, we’ll be celebrating fathers across the country. But perhaps you’re struggling to find just the right gift for a dad who has everything. Look no further…
Like we did for Mother’s Day, we scoured the net for some awesome DIY gift ideas to provide you with some inspiration.
Help dad haul wood to his campfire with ease by making him this firewood tote. All it takes is a little canvas or flannel and some wood pallet slats for the handles.
If you dad is a member of a wine club, he would appreciate a wine rack to store his vino of the month. Mix and match wood types for a natural look or use stain or paint to match his décor.
Even something as easy as a sign that he can display in his yard will put a smile on dad’s face. We found one that features various places on wood markers pointing in the direction of the destination. Your signpost could display the cities where his grandchildren reside, his alma mater, or his favorite vacation spot. Check out instructions here.
If you have more time and are feeling industrious, you could attempt to build an outdoor bar from used pallets. (For what it’s worth, many of our male employees like this idea very much!)
There are almost endless ways you can turn a pallet that has reached the end of its lifecycle into a gift dad will find useful or appreciate for years to come.
Maybe you’re not the crafty type. That’s okay, too. There are now several folks that make a successful living repurposing pallets and selling their items to the masses.
