50 Years of Bringing Pallet Professionals Together
Next month, the Western Pallet Association (WPA) celebrates its 50th anniversary at its Annual Meeting in Rancho Mirage, CA—providing a unique opportunity for members to gather and reflect on the organization’s journey through the decades.
The milestone meeting starts on Friday, January 12, and runs through Tuesday, January 16, at the Rancho Las Palmas Resort. Pallet and supply chain professionals from across the country will convene to reminisce about the past and plan for the future.
Just as it has for the last 50 years, the conference is the perfect setting to learn from experts in the field as well as network with existing relationships and new acquaintances. Along with interactive discussions on topical issues including resource management, customer retention, and the economy, the event also boasts several outdoor activities, receptions, and an auction to benefit The Pallet Foundation – a nonprofit dedicated to supporting research, education/training and safety in the wood packaging industry while promoting the industry to end-users.
Of the educational events at this year’s meeting, the one we’re most intrigued about is “The Why and How of Customer Retention,” presented by Dr. Jimmy Ghandhi, professor and sought-after lecturer on the top trends and issues affecting supply chain management. We are anxious to hear his thoughts on customer retention strategies as well as how to understand and address customer pain points in challenging economic times.
