Our Commitment to Workplace Safety and Health

Work and community safety is an important value at Rose Pallet because we believe everyone deserves to make it home safe from work each day. Renewing your focus on workplace safety and employee health can help your company achieve higher productivity.

we're committed to worplace safety and health

Part of creating a safe work ennvironment involves education. As a member of the National Wooden Pallet & Container Association (NWPCA), we regularly look to the organization for supportive research and expertise in a variety of areas from pallet design to safety practices. As it relates to safety, the association has developed numerous resources including a fire code manual for outdoor pallet storage as well as webinars covering various safety topics and compliance.

However, next week we turn our focus to an annual OSHA initiative that was developed to raise awareness and understanding of the value of workplace safety and health programs.

Safe + Sound Week occurs on August 9-15 and any company looking for an opportunity to recognize their commitment to safety is encouraged to participate. The initiative involves three groups—management leadership, worker participation, and a systematic approach to finding and fixing hazards in the workplace.

Last year over 3,400 businesses participated and committed to proactively identify and manage workplace hazards before they cause injury or illness. Moreover, because of a renewed focus on a safe and healthy workforce, participants realized higher productivity and a greater bottom line.

Outside of work, however, safety is just as important. Over the years, Rose Pallet has been involved in communal safety by supporting our local law enforcement agencies. We have donated to our local police to help provide dash-cams for police squad vehicles. And we have also donated to provide scholarship funds that help support college-bound children of police officers.

Rose Pallet is proud of our commitment to safety both in the workplace and in the community. Which is why we are recognizing Safe + Sound Week throughout the month of August and we encourage you to do the same. For ideas, resources, and other information, visit OSHA Safe + Sound.  And, as always, we welcome your feedback regarding workplace safety and health; please share your thoughts with our blog readers by commenting below.
