The Importance of Corporate Philanthropy
Philanthropy is defined in Webster dictionary as “goodwill to fellow members of the human race”. This is something that is needed to help society thrive. There are a multitude of organizations that are regularly supported including The American Cancer Foundation, PETA, The National Wildlife Federation, and more. The donations and volunteers who contribute to these organizations are impacting the lives of many. September 5th is International Day of Charity, and we would love to share some information regarding corporate philanthropy.
Global Impact of Corporate Philanthropy
After the COVID-19 global impact donations increased. Many people theorized it would decline again. However, the disaster caused the world to see the various areas of need it had on the elderly, homeless, immune deficient, etc. This boosted awareness to many individual causes. There are a lot of causes that you can see the impact of the charitable giving locally. The Ronald McDonald house has over 1,000 locations. You are able, when volunteering, to see the results of the actions. Holiday cards can be given, you can volunteer to make meals and paint rooms when needed and each of these things can be visually seen or tracked. In fact, it is estimated that they have saved families a combined total of $736 million during the child’s stay. It is said that corporations give only 5% of all charitable offerings but this number is slowly rising, and we cannot wait to see it multiplied in upcoming years.
Rose Pallet Philanthropic Contributions
At Rose Pallet, we try our hardest to contribute to charitable efforts worldwide. In this 2024 year alone we have participated in the Polar Plunge Chicago supporting the Special Olympics and special children’s charity. We also recently hosted a clothing drive for the women at Poised for Success to help women locally. Another local event we helped support was our very own (Westmont) Chamber of Commerce with a donation to their scholarship and education fund. The efforts do not stop here though. Back in May we donated to York Community High School‘s foundation, and the American Heart Association. Come October we will be walking in The Cancer Support Centers, “Pink-A-Boo Walk of hope“. We love to help those in need and look forward to all future opportunities. To see more about our outreach click this link to our charitable giving page.
The efforts everyone puts in to bettering the world around us is truly admirable. It inspires us to see the good each foundation does. Corporations have a responsibility to the world and should have a positive impact. No matter whether you are an individual or belong to a corporation remember philanthropy is essential to bringing the world to a better state.

September is national food safety education month. According to medical professionals, there are more than 250 food-borne diseases, all of which can be traced back to three categories of hazards: biological, chemical, and physical. Wood Pallets are a large contributor of health conditions in the food manufacturing process. If not careful these pallets can possibly contain a physical threat to the food. This is one reason having clean pallets is of extreme importance for manufacturers of consumable and sensitive products.
If you live in a cold climate like we do here in Chicago, a warm fire can be so delightful. So long as it is contained. But did you know that accumulated pallets can be a major fire risk? Take these fire safety precautions to ensure your supply is protected.
