Packing it in at Pack Expo
To some, product packaging may seem like an afterthought. But to manufacturers and marketers, a simple box represents a brand. In fact, the type of packaging and how products are distributed says a load about the company.
To some, product packaging may seem like an afterthought. But to manufacturers and marketers, a simple box represents a brand. In fact, the type of packaging and how products are distributed says a load about the company.
It’s becoming more commonplace on social media. Consumers are praising companies or issuing complaints based on product packaging. The consensus? Less is definitely more.
The trend is driven by growing sustainability and ESG initiatives. Companies and consumers alike are demanding environmentally friendly packaging and distribution methods to reduce waste and carbon footprint. Using greater amounts of recycled material helps, but it doesn’t end there. Products that can be packaged in and/or shipped on lighter-weight material reduces weight and transportation costs. All of which helps lower carbon emissions.
At Pack Expo, held recently in our hometown of Chicago, over 30K buyers from top consumer packaged goods companies including those in logistics and supply chain management met to explore and discuss packaging materials, equipment, automation technologies, distribution, and other innovations impacting the industry.
Above all, many in attendance were eager to learn about cost-efficiencies and environmentally friendly ways to package and distribute their goods.
Rose Pallet was there to lighten the load concerning pallet management. At our booth in the Containers and Materials Pavilion, we had the pleasure to meet with many buyers and discuss pallet design, bio-based pallets, recycled and reconditioned pallets, plastic pallets, buy-back programs, as well as other packaging services and solutions.
In addition to exhibits, educational sessions and demonstrations on the show floor addressed optimization, sustainability, e-commerce, the circular economy, labor challenges, and even cybersecurity.
It was an eye-opening event for us, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time networking, exhibiting, and learning from leaders in our industry.
If you were unable to attend, but would like more information about our reusable solutions, please contact us. We’d love to help you solve your pallet problems and exceed your packaging expectations.
