What is your name and position?
My name is Steve Bryant, and I am the new Controller for Rose Pallet.
Tell our readers about your professional experience?
I am a financial controller with professional experience in the construction, manufacturing, and service industries. I play a management role which is focused on financial analysis and planning, compliance, internal controls, cost improvement, cash flow monitoring, and budget management. As a meticulous individual with a passion for excellence, I have an in-depth knowledge of the principles related to finance, accounting, human resources, and risk management. What makes me stand out is my record of success in conducting financial analysis and leading external/internal audits aimed at improving organizational systems and controls. My ability to identify process gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives, as well as leveraging robust financial modelling and data analysis tools have been well appreciated over the years.
If you could make or buy one item re-purposed from pallets, what would it be and why?
If I could make one item from re-purposed pallets, it would be for a vertical herb and small vegetable garden with planters that would go in my back yard. This would keep the pallet out of a landfill dump. Plus my wife and I love home grown herbs and vegetables.
Where would you go on vacation that you would not want to return?
I love to cruise the Caribbean with my family. We do this at least every couple of years. My favorite Caribbean Island is St Thomas. I could see staying there because of the beauty of the island, the weather, the people. Then, there’s Magen’s Bay, and the fact that St John is a ferry ride away.
Name three things that are critical to your success at Rose Pallet.
The three things that are critical to my success at Rose Pallet are the team, building relationships, and delivering results.
