In a Time of Market Madness, Loyalty Matters

We’re nine days into March Madness and the sweet 16 games tip-off tomorrow. A few of us at Rose Pallet have strong loyalty to our alma-maters, while others are rooting for their bracket picks. Either way, there’s no denying the thrill of college basketball for fans across the country.

March Madness unites sports fans nationwide as we commiserate over losses and unexpected upsets and celebrate the wins. The tournament is similar to the current state of the supply chain. For example, both buyers and suppliers share the frustration of labor and material shortages and its impact on pallet availability. But, through teamwork and support, it is possible to overcome the market madness and prevail.

Loyalty Matters

Just as steadfast sports fans are glued to the games, pallet buyers are wise to pledge loyalty to their pallet provider. Why? When demand exceeds availability, suppliers have the upper hand. For example, many are turning away business from accounts demanding extended terms. A strong relationship, however, ensures that your business and pallet needs will be a priority. And you’ll likely be the first to know about market updates and changes that could affect your supply so you can plan ahead. The best way you can support this relationship is by providing adequate lead time and paying promptly.

At Rose Pallet, we are proud of the relationships we have built with our loyal customers over many years. While we all endure this Market Madness, we are doing our very best to ensure our clients have what they need to keep the world moving. It certainly helps that our accounts have been patient with us, too, as we have navigated longer lead times and other challenges.

Ultimately, whether an athlete on the court or a manager in the warehouse, the same is true—it takes a team to beat the odds.
