Expo Richmond post

As a national pallet provider, we rely on a strong network of hardwood and softwood mills which produce many different grades of lumber to meet the demands of our customers. We routinely travel to these sawmills to see firsthand the latest machinery and techniques used to produce pallets.

In just 16 days, however, sawmill workers and other professionals in the forest products industry will journey to the Richmond Raceway Complex in Richmond, Virginia, for the 36th East Coast Sawmill and Logging Equipment Exposition (EXPO Richmond) on May 18-19.  EXPO Richmond, as it is commonly known, is America’s leading trade show for the forest products industry.

During this two-day event, participants can learn from a variety of educational sessions covering topics such as wood processing, business management, and marketing. Attendees can also peruse the newest and most advanced machinery, equipment, and technology in the indoor and outdoor exhibit areas. The indoor exhibit is spread out over one-half million square feet. Hundreds of displays will be present including the largest collection of sawmilling, kiln drying, harvesting, biomass, trucking, pallet manufacturing/recycling, material handling, and other supplies and services. The outdoor expo boasts acres of active, hands-on machinery, and equipment demonstrations.

So, whether you need to connect with colleagues in the forest products industry, network, or compare current equipment to the latest advancements, this is the show for you! While there, be sure to check out the exhibitors previewing the latest pallet machinery and pallet systems.

Also, on Friday, May 18, you can mingle with our friends at the National Wooden Pallet & Container Association during their member reception at the Omni Richmond Hotel beginning at 5:30pm.

This expo is co-sponsored by the Virginia Forest Products Association and the Cooperative Extension Service at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
