How to Make Room in the Warehouse

We all know that warehouse space is a hot commodity. If it’s getting tight in yours, you’re not alone. But there are ways to save precious floor space, and Rose Pallet can help!

The days of stacking and storing pallets in the warehouse may be ending. With less warehouse space available, many retailers and other business are shedding excess pallet supply to make room for products like clothing, appliances, furniture, and myriad goods in high demand. When it’s time to fulfill orders, they rely on “just-in-time” or JIT pallet delivery.

If you’re in a similar situation, Rose Pallet can serve as your JIT supplier of pallets and crates. In fact, we have the capability to deliver pallets on demand anywhere in the country. And we even offer less-than-truckload service. We do this by including multiple orders on the same truck, with each client paying for his or her portion. In addition to saving money on delivery, sharing space with other orders on the same truck cuts vehicle emissions and carbon footprint.

New to JIT ordering? No problem. Using a Forecasting Including Trends and Seasonal (FITS) variable formula is the easiest way to plan for JIT pallet usage. Pallet Enterprise, the leading pallet and sawmill magazine in America, has an excellent article covering tips on forecasting entitled “Forecasting Pallet Usage for JIT Delivery” by Andrew Mosqueda.

Armed with an accurate forecast, it is possible to order the correct number of pallets just when you need them. However, it’s important to partner with a reliable pallet provider. The last thing you want is to spend time developing an accurate forecast only to have a vendor fail to deliver.

Rose Pallet takes pride in offering our customers a continuous supply of pallets. And we always go the extra mile to ensure on-time delivery.
