In just four days, warehouse logistics leaders from all over the world will ‘pack’ into one place—at the International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA) Convention & Expo—held March 11-13, in Tampa, FL.  Here attendees can make connections, learn, network, and work together for a stronger 3PL warehousing and logistics industry.

IWLA 2018 offers educational sessions on logistics/transportation, labor, warehouse law, cyber security, fulfillment, and automation; council meetings; general sessions; keynotes by Robert Stevenson, author and entrepreneur, and Richard Montañez, Product Innovator for Frito Lay/PepsiCo; and an expo where attendees can preview the latest 3PL products and services including supply chain execution software, pallet racks and other storage solutions, forklifts, and additional warehouse equipment.

Networking opportunities also abound including a golf tournament, an opening reception featuring craft beers, a tailgate party including a game of human foosball (can’t wait to see pictures of that post conference), and a pirate-themed pool party with live music to close out the convention.

Of all the presentations at IWLA, we recommend attending the Fulfillment Panel breakout session held on Tuesday, March 13, presented by Saddle Creek Logistics Services and FedEx Supply Chain. This discussion will focus on the importance of fulfillment technology, pricing strategy, managing volume spikes, and emerging trends in warehouse automation. For more information on any of the educational sessions or networking opportunities, visit the event site.
