  1. What was your most unusual or unique job and how did it prepare you for this one?
Every job I’ve held has been unique it its own way because I’ve learned different skills at each one. The job I held just prior to joining Rose Pallet helped prepare me the most for my current role. That’s because I was able to freshen up and hone my skills in QuickBooks, which I now leverage in my daily accounting responsibilities.
  2. What do you enjoy most about working for Rose Pallet?
I enjoy the family environment. We are not just a team of co-workers; we are family and we all support one another and collaborate to get the job done.
  3. If you could make or buy one item repurposed from pallets, what would it be?
I would love a bench for my front lawn/patio.
  4. What are you most thankful for?
I am most thankful for my family who are always there cheering me on and motivating me to be a better person. All of whom also sing beside me in the choir at St. Bede the Venerable Church.
  5. Name three people you admire and why:
The three people I admire the most are my parents (Daniel and Raquel) and my wife Ofelia. I admire my parents because they are a great example to follow, they have taught me so much personally and professionally. They shaped me up to become the person I am now and taught me to never give up and to always do my best. As for my wife, she always seems to find the strength to keep our four adult children on point with school and work, to care for her mom, and still get me going by motivating me and pushing me to be the best I can be.
  6. If you could play the role of any TV character for a day, who would you choose and why?
I would be MacGyver because I think he and I are similar. For example, everyone that knows me seems to think that I have a particular ability to adapt and improvise. And, just as MacGyver was always prepared, I carry around a bookbag full of goodies for every situation. It prompts people to ask, “What don’t you carry around in that bag?”
  7. If you could interview anyone, who would it be and why?
I would interview former President Barack Obama because, despite his success and status, he still has his feet on the ground, is humble, and seems to be down to earth.
  8. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy playing guitar and helping others.
