Pallet Industry Excited for Dual Events Held in Twin Cities
In the pallet industry, the National Wooden Pallet & Container Association (NWPCA) Fall Plant Tours is one of the most anticipated and popular events. This year the excitement is twofold because the Interpal Conference occurs in conjunction with the plant tours on September 18-20 in Minneapolis, MN.
Interpal is the leading international conference held every four years for the global wood pallet and packaging industry. The last time Interpal was held in North America was 2009. NWPCA is co-hosting Interpal 2018 with Canadian counterparts, CWPCA.
Rose Pallet makes it a priority to attend because we always learn something new—whether as part of hands-on learning or in casual conversation during the plentiful networking opportunities—to benefit you, our loyal customers. In fact, continuing education helps our team gain knowledge in strategic and tactical areas; this year, the conference will focus on lumber trends, environmental marketing, and ISPM 15 standards affecting the heat treatment of pallets. (For more information on heat treatment, please read our post on pallet treatment for international shipping.)
With plant tours, educational sessions, two receptions, group meals, and an exhibition, this event is a great opportunity to reconnect with or meet new industry colleagues from around the world, all while exploring and learning best practices to improve our operations. The end result is better quality service and solutions for our loyal customers.
The event kicks off at 5pm on Tuesday, September 18, with an expo featuring products and solutions from over 50 exhibitors. Plant tours occur on Wednesday during which attendees will get a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the pallet manufacturing process of local pallet companies. Educational seminars round out the event on Thursday.
