The spring season is a great time to refresh or supplement your knowledge of the latest trends affecting the supply-chain industry. In fact, in a little over two weeks, warehouse logistics leaders from all over the world will be gathering in one place to do just that—at the International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA) Convention & Expo—held March 19-21, in Palm Springs, California. Here attendees can make connections, learn, network, and work together for a stronger 3PL warehousing and logistics industry.
IWLA 2017 offers educational sessions covering logistics/transportation, labor, and warehouse law; council meetings; general sessions; a keynote presentation by Harry Kraemer, Clinical Professor of Strategy at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management; and an expo where attendees can preview the latest 3PL products and services including supply chain execution software, pallet racks and other storage solutions, forklifts, and additional warehouse equipment.
Networking opportunities also abound including a golf tournament, an opening reception featuring international cuisine, and an evening of outdoor karaoke with a view of the beautiful desert as a backdrop.
Of all the presentations at IWLA, we recommend attending the Warehouse Economic Impact Report, which is a general session held on Tuesday, March 21, presented by PriceWaterhouse Coopers. This is an IWLA-sponsored study of economic impact of the warehouse logistics industry at the national, state, and provincial levels. For more information on any of the educational sessions or networking opportunities, visit the event site.
