Now that back-to-school shopping is done and the kids are busy studying, you can re-focus on the tools you need to help accelerate your supply chain strategy. In less than one month, connect with leaders in distribution, logistics, and supply chain management at the CSCMP 2018 Edge Annual Conference.

The event begins on Sunday, Sept. 30, and runs through Wednesday, Oct. 3, in Nashville, TN. Among the activities are more than 100 educational sessions organized into 20 tracks; captivating keynote presentations, including the opening address featuring a panel of experts from Amazon, IBM, and Nike; peer networking; and the Supply Chain Exchange Expo where attendees can preview equipment, systems, and technologies.

The breakout sessions are led by some of the brightest minds in supply chain today. You’ll hear about issues affecting today’s global supply chain, the role of technology systems and data analytics, and practical ideas to improve warehouse operations to name just a few topics.  We recommend attending session 1 in the Warehousing Track: “Thinking Outside the Box – Expecting More from Our Warehouses.” It explores how to incorporate warehousing into supply chain strategy and the role of people and technology in modern warehouses. And, as a women-owned business, the interactive workshop-style session entitled “Women at Work – Leading the Workforce of Tomorrow” which occurs on the opening day at 3pm is also of interest to us.  Attendees will learn four demographic trends that are shape-shifting the workforce.

In addition to all of the great professional development and networking opportunities, the conference takes place in the heart of Music City, home to sites including Music Row, The Nashville Parthenon, The Grand Ole Opry, Country Music Hall of Fame, and more. For more information, click here.

If you plan on attending this event, please report back and let us know what you learned.  It looks like a great way to spend a few days in Tennessee’s state capitol while also learning about new innovations and technologies affecting the industry.
