Change is happening at a lightning-fast pace, especially in the supply chain. And, if there’s one thing we know and appreciate, it is to ‘be flexible and willing to change.’ In fact, it’s one of our core values at Rose Pallet.

But, it can be challenging to keep up with and adapt to change. That’s why events like the 34th annual Material Handling and Logistics Conference are of such huge benefit to many of our customers who work in the supply chain.

This year, the conference will be held Sunday, Sept. 8, through Wednesday, Sept. 11, in Park City, Utah. The educational sessions will focus on how to embrace and leverage ‘smart’ and predictive technology. There are over 30 seminars organized into four tracks, an amazing lineup of Keynote speeches and presenters, and peer networking guaranteed to provide long-term professional relationships.

A few highlights include speeches from Indra Nooyi, the former chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, as well as U.S. Astronaut and retired U.S. Navy Captain, Scott Kelly. In addition, there will be a musical concert performed by the legendary rock band The Doobie Brothers.

If we could recommend one track to our clients it would be Track 3 Operational Excellence. Learn how to turn data into action, manage operational elasticity, and use key performance indicators effectively. This line-up includes a session entitled “The Supply Chain Labor Force of 2030,” which discusses how companies can build out their labor forces to keep up with an increasingly customer-driven, omni-channel world, where customization, speed, and low cost are all high priorities. And, if the latest high-tech solutions are of interest, the presentations in Track 4 will show you how to successfully implement them. For example, session seven examines how to apply technologies to increase warehouse efficiencies, optimize storage utilization, and support long-term organizational goals.
