NWPCA Leadership Conference in Orlando, FLIn just one month Rose Pallet will head to the sunshine state to attend the NWPCA Leadership Conference.  The event starts on Wednesday, March 2, and runs through Friday, March 4, at the Lowes Portofino Bay Resort in Orlando, Florida. Attendees can expect several networking opportunities along with critical business updates on fire code, economic and timber availability, and trucking and distribution centers changes.

On the agenda are various educational seminars, meetings, panel discussions, and demonstrations; a golf tournament; and an auction to benefit The Pallet Foundation (last year’s auction raised a record-setting $125,000). The Pallet Foundation supports research, education/training, and safety in the wood packaging industry while promoting the industry to end-user markets.

New to the conference line-up are industry roundtables covering equipment and operations.  While participants are busy learning and networking, spouses can take free on-site transportation to nearby Universal® theme parks and Universal’s CityWalk.

Rose Pallet employees are eager to attend this event not only to escape the dreary winter and cold temperatures in Chicago, but also to meet or re-connect with industry peers.  Of all the seminars at this year’s meeting, we are especially looking forward to the session entitled “Trucking Trends and What it Means for Pallet Usage” presented by Pat Thomas, UPS, and Mark Solomon, DC Velocity.  Supply chain logistics are changing rapidly and we are anxious to hear about new innovations, especially from the perspective of experts in the trucking industry.  For a full listing of events and presentations, click here.

In the meantime, if you are in the Orlando metro area, contact us.  We would love for you to accompany us to the Conference.  And, as always, for all of your pallet management needs, call on Rose Pallet; we are ready and prepared to help you for the long haul!
