PROMAT Trade Show for Material Handling Pros
In just five days, material handling and logistics professionals will be gathering in one place—at ProMat 2017—held April 3-6, at Chicago’s McCormick Place. This event offers specific supply chain solutions for thousands of professionals from over 110 countries. Here attendees can learn all about the latest industry equipment and technologies including our favorite—packaging, containers/pallets, and shipment systems.
Aside from the expo, this year’s educational program boasts more than 100 seminars covering several key topics including future trends, cost saving ideas, technology, sustainability, inventory flow, and automation. We recommend attending “Pallet Performance in Automated Storage Systems,” which occurs on Monday, April 3, at 12:45pm in Theater B. This presentation will review the ANSI pallet standard and show attendees how to select the proper pallet for optimum performance in an automated system. You may also want to attend the presentation on Wednesday, April 5, from 1-2pm, presented by Magic Johnson. He will be discussing the power of customer service while drawing from his personal experience as CEO and Chairman of Magic Johnson Enterprises, which helps– in part–bring jobs and high-quality products and services to underserved communities.
In addition, there will be four keynote addresses, one for each day of the show. The first of which will be delivered by sustainability expert and author, Andrew Winston, followed by discussions led by executives from UPS, The Boeing Company, and REI.
Plus, the Material Handling Institute (MHI), sponsor of ProMat, is hosting a special night of comedy on Wednesday, April 5th. SNL alum and award-winning comedian, Dana Carvey, will perform and entertain. A portion of ticket sales will benefit the Material Handling Education Foundation, Inc.
