Happy New Year! Twenty nineteen was a challenging year in the pallet industry as the market experienced unprecedented price fluctuations and supply shortages. However, as we celebrate the arrival of 2020, we are excited to report that many challenges over the past year have become opportunities.

The first of which is the opportunity for our president, Guy Gruenberg, to address changing market conditions and other industry challenges at the Western Pallet Association Annual Meeting. Material handling professionals, manufacturers, and wholesalers alike will benefit by learning ways to adapt to and overcome pressing issues.

The annual meeting starts on Friday, January 17, and runs through Tuesday, January 21, at the Rancho Las Palmas Resort in Rancho Mirage, California.  On the agenda is socializing and outdoor activity along with continuing education on topical issues including wood waste and recycling, fire safety, insurance, and the labor market. While we are looking forward to the expert commentary, our president is also anxious to hear from those in attendance.  That’s why his presentation will be a collaborative, interactive session designed to engage and educate as well as encourage participation from everyone in the room. Guy knows that two heads are better than one and that sharing ideas and experiences can help the industry grow and improve.

If you plan on attending, be sure to join Guy for his presentation entitled What’s Next? Discover New Opportunities, Uncover Your Problems, Create Options, and Execute for Success” on Sunday, January 19, from 10-11:15am. We hope you can attend; and, it’s not too late to register.

In the meantime, for all of your pallet management needs, call on Rose Pallet; we are eager and prepared to help you in 2020 and beyond!

Avoid this leading cause of warehouse injury

Although relatively basic in construction, pallets can be hazardous if not handled properly. To avoid injuries such as sprained ankles, broken toes, or puncture wounds, handlers must take appropriate precautions. These precautions should be observed whether working with pallets under load or empty pallets.
