3 Reasons to Celebrate Women Friends, Working Moms, and Wives
It’s no secret that Rose Pallet is a family-owned business, founded in part by sisters Mia and Amy Angellotti. But, here’s something you may not know: this Sunday you can honor women like Mia and Amy in three different ways. That’s because September 16th is National Women’s Friendship Day, Working Parents Day, and Wife Appreciation Day.
It’s a great excuse to celebrate your cherished female confidants, your career-driven mom, or your wife. But first, a little history.
National Women’s Friendship Day was established in 1999 by the members of Kappa Delta sorority of Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. On this day, we suggest you gather with your women friends at your favorite restaurant or, if this isn’t possible, be sure to call or send a text. This holiday is also a great opportunity to promote the value of women in society. For example, Mia and Amy are members of the Women Presidents’ Organization and the International Association of Women, both of which do a great job elevating and inspiring women in work and life.
Working Parents Day recognizes moms and dads who work hard to provide for their children. Today is a chance for kids to show appreciation and perhaps help out around the house by doing extra chores or making dinner. We’d love to hear if your kids stepped up or if you did anything special for your parents; comment on this post or send us an email.
Wife Appreciation Day is celebrated annually on the third Sunday in September. It was originally intended to honor wives in a childless marriage, but all husbands can show appreciation for their wives on this day. (FYI – Husband Appreciation Day is the third Saturday in April.) Gifts aren’t necessary, but can be a great way to demonstrate how much your wife means to you. Click this link for our ideas.
Three occasions in one day make it easier than ever to acknowledge wonderful people in your life. From all of us at Rose Pallet, we hope this Sunday is triple the fun!
