Sixty-eight years ago, the nonprofit organization Mental Health America declared May as Mental Health Month to raise awareness about mental health conditions and the importance of good mental health for everyone.
There are many different conditions that are recognized as mental illnesses. The more common types include depression, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and diseases such as dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.
Chances are you may know someone with one or more of the conditions listed above. It’s more likely, however, that everyone reading this post has experienced times of difficulty and stress, which are also circumstances that impact mental health. And, when your mental state is compromised, your home and work life suffers. That is why, at Rose Pallet, we believe it is important to promote mental health and well-being for all of our employees.
