ALCOngoing professional development is important to help us strengthen our skills, spend time with our employees, and collaborate with experts in our field. That’s why, in three weeks, Rose Pallet will attend the NWCPA Annual Leadership Conference for wood packaging professionals.  The event starts on Wednesday, March 13, and runs through Friday, March 15, at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, CA.  The theme of this year’s event is “from inspiration to implementation.” It will be evidenced throughout the program with a wide variety of stimulating topics including the state of manufacturing jobs, trucking trends, politics, and OSHA safety regulations. The goal of each will be to provide attendees with practical application tips to help improve business operations.

In addition to education, there will be meetings, panel discussions, and demonstrations; a golf tournament; an auction to benefit The Pallet Foundation; and plenty of socializing. Following the success of last year’s “Member Mingles” networking, there will be similar opportunities at this year’s event for Latino Business Owners and Future Leaders. While participants are busy learning, spouses can venture into greater San Diego to take advantage of the city’s unique attractions, arts and culture, cuisine, and more.

We can’t wait to rush to the Golden State not only to escape dreary winter in Chicago, but also to meet or re-connect with industry peers.  Of all the sessions at this year’s conference, we are looking forward to the keynote on Thursday, March 14, presented by Dr. Jackie Freiberg on “Gutsy Leadership.” Jackie is recognized as one of the top 30 Minds on Leadership and is a sought-after female business speaker. Her presentation will cover how to become better leaders, build better cultures, and become more accountable! For a full listing of events and presentations, click here.

In the meantime, if you are in the San Diego area, contact us.  We would love to meet with you during our stay along the coast.  And, as always, for all of your pallet management needs, call on Rose Pallet; we are ready and prepared to help you for the long haul!
