industry leadership conferenceIn three weeks, Rose Pallet will head to the Sunshine State to attend the NWCPA Annual Leadership Conference or ALC.  The event starts on Wednesday, March 7, and runs through Friday, March 9, at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  Attendees can expect to enhance and expand their knowledge of various industry topics including: workforce retention, succession planning, block chain, growth and innovation, and lumber sales.

In addition to educational sessions, there will be meetings, panel discussions, and demonstrations; a golf tournament; an auction to benefit The Pallet Foundation; and plenty of socializing. “Member Mingles” is a new networking opportunity at this year’s conference. These groups are designed especially for women, Hispanic/Latinos, and the next generation of industry leaders. Being as Rose Pallet is a women-owned business, we are looking forward to participating in the Women’s Session to network with likeminded people.

While participants are busy learning, spouses can venture into greater Fort Lauderdale to take advantage of the city’s unique attractions, arts and culture, cuisine, and more.

Rose Pallet is eager to attend this event not only to escape the dreary winter and cold temperatures in Chicago, but also to meet or re-connect with industry peers.  Of all the seminars at this year’s meeting, we are especially looking forward to the keynote on Thursday, March 8, during which Michael Abrashoff, a retired Navy Commander and progressive leadership expert, will share his insight on how to re-imagine leadership thinking and inspire new ways to elevate individual, team, and organizational performance.
